Tenerina chocolate cake
Chocolate…who does not love it? This cake is an absolute must for every chocolate addict like me…It is called Tenerina. A specialty from Ferrara, where I lived… a town in North Italy. Tenerina means “soft” … This cake is crisp on the surface … and soft inside. Important, use a good quality dark chocolate 70% cocoa….and enjoy 🙂
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar,
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 4 eggs
- icing sugar
Melt the chocolate and butter “au bain marie”. Mix the egg yolks, sugar and flour. Stir chocolate and butter. Beat the egg whites, add the ingredients and mix gently.
Pour the batter into a mold and baked at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
The cake should be crisp on the surface and soft inside.
Then sprinkle with icing sugar
